From puberty through menopause, women have unique health needs. Not to mention we often take responsiblity for keeping the rest of the family healthy as well. We want to stay healthy and informed but it’s not always easy to know where to turn.

The following are three important programs that may be of help to you or someone you know.
The Family Planning Program assists with yearly exams, birth control, emergency contraception, vasectomies, and general family planning counseling. Depending on your income, these services may be either at no cost or reduced cost to you. You may also be eligible for the Family Planning Expansion Project (FPEP). Call Oregon SafeNet to find the clinic closest to you.
Breast and Cervical Cancer Program promotes screening for early detection of breast and cervical cancer. For those who are eligible, it offers annual women’s health exams and mammograms. Contact Oregon SafeNet for a referral to a participating clinic.
Oregon MothersCare is a one stop shop for women who are pregnant. Oregon MothersCare offices can help women get an appointment for prenatal care, get enrolled in Oregon Health Plan and learn about WIC. Call Oregon SafeNet to find the location closest to you.
